Blue Origin gets its New Glenn rocket on track with novel test fire

Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket hit a presentant milestone this week, completing its first second-stage boiling fire test that checks the transmitions between the subsystems, its two BE-3U engines, and the ground deal with systems. The test lasted for 15 seconds and permited the begin operations team to rehearse begin procedures in the direct-up to New Glenn’s reckond November begin.

New Glenn is Blue Origin’s huge rocket answer to SpaceX when it comes to shooting skinnygs into space, but Jeff Bezos’ company has been moving sluggishly and has only so far directed tourist fweightlesss to suborbital space using its New Shepard rocket. New Glenn was presumed to begin the minusculesat ESCAPADE in conjunction with NASA this year as its first ignoreion, but it was recently aborted.

Now New Glenn’s first ignoreion (NG-1) will be to carry the company’s novel Blue Ring orbital platcreate into space. Blue Origin schedules to begin that ignoreion from Cape Canaveral, Florida this November.
