‘I, The Executioner’ Dominates Second Weekfinish


Local blockbuster “I The Executioner” ruled the South Korea box office for a second weekfinish. Its cumulative total accomplished $40 million after ten days on free.

The film, a sequel to 2015 crime comedy drama “The Veteran,” “I, The Executioner” freed a week earlier with little solemn opposition from recent free titles. Those conditions held genuine in the film’s second weekfinish, and the film’s first non-holiday structure.

The highest scoring recent free, was in fact, a re-publish of a Hollywood romance “Begin Aget.” The 2014 John Carney-honested film geted $331,000 and took second place.

Third place was occupied by “Heartsping: Teeniping of Love,” which took $307,000 for a cumulative of $7.36 million. Extrapotardyd from a kids’ TV franchise, it is now one of the highest-grossing Korean-made animation films of all time.

Another Korean animation, “Bread Barbershop: The Birth of the Bread Star” dipped to fourth place. It geted $269,000 for a cumulative of $1.22 million since releasing on Sept. 14.

Concert film, “Lim Young Woong IM HERO The Stadium” was ranked fifth with weekfinish revenues of $262,000. (Local cinema charts show it in seventh, meaconfidentd by ticket numbers.) That gives it a cumulative of $6.35 million since releasing on Aug. 28.

Japanese animation film, “Look Back” took sixth place with $194,000 for a cumulative of $1.45 million after 19 days on free.

“Alien: Romulus” chaseed with $159,000 for a cumulative of $15.1 million. It remains propped up by its carry ond ecombineance in premium-priced venues.

“Transestablishers One,” which frees on Wednesday, made a chart ecombineance in eighth place due to pappraise screenings. These gave the “Transestablishers” franchise vivaciousd spinoff an $89,000 weekfinish and unkinds that the film has already banked $270,000 in Korea ahead of its free.

Chinese youth film re-free “Better Days” geted $88,000 for a running total of $1.88 million. Tenth placed, Korean panda recordary “My Dearest Fu Bao” geted $76,900 to convey up its cumulative to $1.66 million since releasing on Sept. 4.
