Jay Slater pal shares new pics as she quits search and comes home | UK | News

Jay Slater‘s friend has released fresh images of the missing teenager upon her return from Tenerife.

Lucy Law, 18, who travelled to Tenerife with Jay, has unveiled new photos depicting the teen smiling alongside his close friends prior to his disappearance. The five new images, posted on Instagram, capture the trainee bricklayer grinning broadly and socialising at events.

It seems Ms Law uploaded the photos after landing back in the UK over the weekend, a week following the official search and rescue operations by Spanish authorities were called off. The teenager arrived in Tenerife with Jay in mid-June and was present at the Papagayo nightclub rave where he was last seen before vanishing.

She returned to their shared holiday accommodation with Brad Hargreaves, a mutual friend, while Jay accompanied two other men to a property in the north of the island, near Masca village. When he failed to return, she reported him missing and participated in the search efforts as his family descended on the Spanish island.

Despite extensive search operations conducted over the subsequent fortnight by Spain’s Guardia Civil, Jay’s whereabouts still remain a mystery. Lucy has since returned home and she has posted the series of photos on Instagram over the weekend, each image marked with a blue heart emoji, a symbol commonly used online to denote friendship, reports the Mirror.

In the many photos, the missing youth is depicted posing alongside Lucy and a variety of companions, commonly in watering holes and bars. One image displays Jay amidst a group illuminated by a blue light as they appear to be revelling in a rave event.

A few snapshots exclusively feature Jay and Lucy, both standing and seated beside each other, while the inscription “cute” decorates their faces as they strike a pose for the lens.

In an earlier post this month, she finally broached the subject of the missing persons case, characterising the circumstances as “weird”. She remarked: “There’s something weird going on. It is suspicious. In two days you’re telling me someone’s not seen him. There’s a restaurant 10 minutes away that he would have seen or walked past. It’s suspicious and it’s weird.”

She further noted: “Fair enough it didn’t open for another two hours but if that were me I would have sat and waited at the restaurant till it opened. As soon as it opened I would have said, ‘Please can you put my phone on charge’ and then I would have rung someone, I would have rung a taxi.”
