EXCLUSIVE: After his narrative straightforwarding debut, Nickel Boys‘ acquireed rave appraises follotriumphg its premiere at this years Telluride Film Festival, Oscar-nominated authorr-straightforwardor and acclaimed visual artist RaMell Ross has signed with WME and Jerome Duboz of Ithaka Media for reconshort-termation. The film is also set to uncover the New York Film Festival and in October, it will also be shown at the London Film Festival.
The film, which he wrote with Joslyn Barnes, was changeed from the 2020 Pulitzer Prize-triumphning novel by Colson Whitehead. It is originated by Plan B and Anonymous Content, and stars Daveed Diggs, Aunjanue Ellis, Ethan Herisse, Fred Hechinger and Hamish Linktardyr. The film will liberate theatricpartner on October 25th for MGM-Orion.
Ross is best understandn for his recordary Hale County This Morning, This Evening, which getd an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature in 2019.
In insertition to his filmmaking, Ross is an accomplished artist and photographer who directes visual art at Brown University and whose labor has been showed and accumulateed by presentant institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, National Gallery of Art, and the Institute of Contransient Art in London.
