In the premiere episode of The Bachelorette season 21, Jenn met Brett Harris, a 28-year-old from Manheim, Pennsylvania who offered the show some much-needed body diversity. A plus-sized man, Brett was excited for The Bachelorette after following Jenn on Jeoy’s season. Confident in himself, Brett knew he was the whole package and shared that he was excited to get to know Jenn. Knowing that he wasn’t the typical Bachelorette contestant, Brett was open and honest about feeling different in the cast of fitness models and personal trainers, but hoped that he would be able to make a great first impression.

Brett Was Charming And Funny Throughout Opening Night

During his time with Jenn and the rest of the cast on a somewhat different premiere than The Bachelorette has hosted in the past, Brett showed off his personality, letting it shine through. While some of the other men had a hard time showing Jenn who they were, Brett was able to be charming, funny, and thoughtful throughout the opening night cocktail party, which included a few games for the guys. The Health and Safety Manager was even able to get himself into a split during a game of truth or dare, shocking Jenn and the rest of the cast.

Sadly, when it came time for the first rose ceremony of The Bachelorette season 21, Jenn had to eliminate seven of her initial suitors. While Brett was hopeful that he’d done enough to show off who he was to Jenn, he wound up missing out on a rose during the ceremony and getting eliminated from The Bachelorette season 21. Though Jenn likely didn’t feel a spark with him, Bachelor Nation was up in arms about her decision not to continue to get to know Brett. They were hopeful that Jenn would find Brett appealing enough to keep on The Bachelorette.
